December 2025— The luxury tank that keeps breaking your heart — and your wallet. There are sensible decisions in life. And then there’s buying a 2008 VW Touareg with 208,000 km on the clock from We Buy Cars for R90,000. I did the latter. In that moment, I truly believed I had discovered a hidden gem — What a bargain, I thought. What a find, I thought. What a future, I thought. I was wrong.

February 2025 - Buying a second-hand car is a bit like dating—you might think you’ve found “the one” only to realize it snores, eats with its mouth open, and breaks down unexpectedly. Unlike property or gold, cars don’t appreciate with age. In fact, they’re more like bananas—rotting the moment you drive them off the lot. So, how do you make sure you don’t end up with a lemon? January 2025 - Recently, I swapped cars with a friend for a couple of weeks while he was moving house. I handed over the keys to my trusty Amarok, and in return, I got his M3—the same car he uses as his daily driver. Stepping into his M3 was a revelation, but not for the reasons you might expect.

November 2024 - there are moments in life that feel almost timeless, where everything falls into place in a way that makes you realize how much you’ve been searching for something. That’s what my solo road trip to Richtersveld National Park felt like. It wasn’t just about reaching a distant destination—it was about rediscovering a part of myself that had been buried under the hustle and grind of daily life. And it was this journey, this exploration of the unknown, that inspired the creation of this website.
